Anger spoils health

If counting to ten is your technique for dissipating anger, visualize each number as a progressive expansion of consciousness. An ever-broader perspective transforms anger to acceptance. Add to your expanding vision, if possible, the dimension of sympathy.

Don't be clever: Be sincere. Today, greet a neighbor as a friend. Contradict by your good will the ancient dictum, "Your neighbor is your enemy; your neighbor's neighbor is your friend".

To overcome anger, reflect that today's mood may well be transformed into tomorrow's laughter. The same energy would be merely redirected. Why not, then, redirect your energy toward laughter even now?
